What are the best extreme sports near Sofia in winter?
From December to March the snowmobile tour on Petrohan Pass is the one you can only do in winter. The ATV, UTV and electric motorbike trails stay open, and quads run in the snow. The balloon, balloon bungee, gyrocopter, plane, motor paragliding and tandem skydive also run in winter whenever the weather allows. It is a good season for extreme sports in Bulgaria if you keep a spare day.
Which adrenaline activities near Sofia need no driving licence?
The ATV quad tour and the electric motorbike tour need no licence or experience. On the gyrocopter and the plane you fly with an instructor and no licence is needed. On the UTV you ride with the guide; only the optional 20 minutes at the wheel needs a category B licence and age 18.
What are the best things to do for adrenaline in Sofia with a stag group?
Most groups combine the outdoor shooting range (from €70, John Wick at €105 is the favourite) with an ATV or UTV ride on the same day. The balloon bungee and the tandem skydive work well for the groom. Tell us the group size and we plan the day and the transport.
Which extreme activities near Sofia are suitable for children?
Children can join the tethered balloon lift with an adult and free balloon flights from age 6. The motor hang glider takes children from 8 with a parent, and the ATV and UTV take passengers from 8. The tandem skydive starts at 12, with a parent for under 18s.
Can I give one of these as a gift?
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the activity and we arrange a gift voucher. Vouchers for the gyrocopter, plane, motor paragliding and electric motorbike have no expiry date.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Flights, jumps and the snowmobiles depend on wind, cloud and snow. If we have to cancel for the weather, you choose a new date or a full refund. Both shooting ranges run in any weather.
How do I book and pay?
Send us the activity, date and group size on WhatsApp. Checking dates is free. Once the date is confirmed, you pay in full through a secure Stripe link, and that secures your place.
