What Actually Happens in a Hammam
A traditional hammam starts with heat. The marble room opens the pores, softens the skin, prepares the body. Then comes the kese - a traditional oriental exfoliation mitt that removes dead skin cells built up over weeks, leaving skin visibly smoother and renewed. What follows depends on which ritual you choose - aromatic oils, clay masks, nourishing wraps, or a full multi-stage ceremony.
This is not a quick treatment. It's a ritual that has been performed across the Middle East and the Ottoman world for centuries - and Victoria Spa does it properly.
Hammam Treatments at Victoria Spa
Kese - Oriental Peel is the foundation of every hammam visit - a deep full-body exfoliation performed on the marble slab, the traditional way. Removes dead skin, stimulates circulation, leaves the body visibly renewed.
Special Victoria Spa Peel combines the kese with the philosophy of the Far East - exfoliation followed by a relaxing back massage, scalp and face treatment. One of the most complete single hammam experiences available in Sofia.
Sultan Ritual is the full ceremony. Seaweed, sea water and aromatic oils applied across the body - minerals soften and tone the skin, stimulate thermoregulation and improve circulation. Includes argan hair treatment. Ends with a full relaxing massage with aromatic extract.
Cleopatra Treatment - deep cleansing with finely ground coffee and almond oil, followed by a relaxing massage. Skin is left smooth, hydrated and visibly refreshed.
Chocolate Massage in the Turkish Bath - a relaxing massage with chocolate in the warmth of the hammam. Aroma, heat and complete surrender.
