The best stag do activities in Sofia: shooting AK-47s and a sniper rifle at an outdoor range (from €70), karting on a 960 m outdoor track (from €19), ATV off-roading in the hills (from €60), rafting on the Struma (€40), a party bus with two dancers (from €260 for the first hour), a mafia escape room (from €50 per room) and a hammam the morning after (from €40). Pick two or three and a big night out.
Send us your dates and group size. We'll build the whole weekend, not just send you a price list.
💬 Plan our weekendSofia doesn't have the stag reputation of Prague or Krakow, and that's the point. Nobody here is waiting to sell your group an overpriced package. You get a real outdoor shooting range, a proper racing track, mountains half an hour away and a night out that costs a fraction of what it does in Western Europe.
These are the seven activities our groups book most: British stags, American bachelor parties, German Junggesellenabschiede and everyone in between. Two or three of them plus a proper night out is the usual shape of the weekend.
The most requested stag activity in Sofia. Forget a basement booth with a pistol and a paper target. This is an outdoor range in the hills near Lozen, about 30 minutes from the centre. Your group fires an AK-47, an M16, a sniper rifle, a shotgun, a Glock and a .357 Magnum, depending on the package. The sniper target is 100 metres away, with a live camera, so the rest of the group watches every shot on screen.
The best opener for the weekend: fast, competitive and done in time for lunch. The track in Krasna Polyana is 960 metres long, outdoors and floodlit, so evening races work too. Your group can book it exclusively for up to 14 drivers. No licence or experience needed, just a short safety briefing. The lap record is 61.8 seconds, and whoever finishes last buys the first round.
For groups who want to get out of the city and get muddy. Can-Am ATVs on forest trails and hill tracks near Mirovyane, about 30 minutes from Sofia, with a guide in front. The group tour runs at weekends and takes 60 minutes. The private tour is only your group, any day of the week, and runs for 90 minutes. Two-seaters are available for anyone who'd rather ride along than drive.
A full day out, and often the highlight of the weekend. You paddle through the rapids of the Struma River with an instructor in every boat and spend about three hours on the water. You don't need to be a strong swimmer; the life jacket does the work, and the base has a riverside grill for afterwards. Best in spring for bigger water, still great through the summer.
The night the group talks about for years. A private bus for up to 27 people with club sound, a dance floor, a bar and two dancers included in every booking. It picks you up anywhere in Sofia and drops you at the club. No queues, no cover charge and no herding ten taxis between venues. You can add more dancers or a DJ on top.
For a bad-weather evening, or simply something different before the bars. A 1920s speakeasy built down to the bottles on the shelf, and it takes up to 8 players, which is rare for an escape room and why bigger groups love it. It has been nominated for the TERPECA world ranking seven years in a row, and it's four minutes from Serdika metro.
Every stag weekend has a morning after, and there's a better fix than another coffee. A traditional hammam in the centre of Sofia, a short walk from Serdika metro: warm marble, heat and the classic kese scrub. The Padishah ritual is made for men, with a scrub, a mud mask and an oil massage. Twenty minutes in the heat does more for a rough morning than any breakfast.
Rafting instead of karting, or four days instead of three? Message us your dates and group size and we'll shape the weekend around you. For a version with times and a budget per person, see our stag weekend, hour by hour.
For weekend dates, book the party bus and the ATV at least 48 hours ahead, and more for big groups. Shooting and rafting are more flexible. Send us your dates as soon as you have them and we'll hold the slots that matter.
No. Alcohol before shooting is strictly forbidden, and the same goes for the ATV. Do them in the morning or early afternoon, before the drinking starts.
The party bus takes up to 27 in one booking. Karting takes up to 14 per session, and bigger groups race back to back. Rafting takes groups of up to 50. For shooting, the ATV and the escape room, groups of more than 8 to 10 split into parallel sessions that we time to finish together.
Yes. The shooting range, the ATV base and the river are outside the city, and we can add a minibus for the group to any of them. Mention it when you ask and we'll quote it together with the activity.
No. Message us with your dates, group size and what you like, and we'll come back with availability and prices. You only pay once you confirm.
Send us your dates and group size. We'll build the programme, book everything and sort the transport between activities.
💬 Plan our weekendSince 2018 I've been organising stag weekends and group trips in Sofia. I work directly with the range, the track, the river base and everyone else in this guide, so what you see here is what your group gets.
