Bulgarian rose oil massage

Bulgaria is one of the world's biggest producers of rose oil, from the Rose Valley east of Sofia. This full-body massage uses the real oil: warm, slow and strongly scented. If you want one treatment you can only really get here, this is it. 45 minutes €43, 60 minutes €51.

Asian massage in Sofia

Several of the therapists are from Asia, and it shows in the menu: Balinese massage with oils, Thai massage on a mat, Shiatsu, and Ashiatsu, where the therapist works on your back with their feet. For something bigger, book Lomi Lomi or Jimbaran with four hands, or International Asia: three therapists, six hands, 90 minutes.

Deep tissue after a long day

After a hike, a ski day or a long flight, go for Asian deep tissue from €46, Massage Balkan with manual therapy and Thai techniques from €49, or medical massage with menthol oil from €36.

Massage for couples

The romantic ritual for two takes 180 minutes: scrub in the Turkish bath, face masks, body massage with vitamin C oil, head massage, foot reflexology, then a jacuzzi with champagne and fruit. €224 for two. It can also be done in the private spa apartment for an extra fee. Add the hammam or the pool and thermal area to make a full spa day.
