The MaTRICK is a Matrix escape room in Sofia, built by 3KEY Rooms on Vasil Levski Boulevard, a few minutes from Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. The system is keeping your mind prisoner, and your team has 60 minutes to wake up and beat it, with puzzles 3KEY wrote for this room and tech that does things you would not expect from a lock. It takes 2 to 6 players, and you do not need to know maths, coding or even the film. A team of two pays €60, and from three players it is €25 per person.

The room is dark and green, the puzzles are the room's own, and the game moves in a clear line from one riddle to the next, with a few surprises in how the tech reacts.
It is the room 3KEY suggests for escape room fans, fans of the film and teams who want a tech escape room with a wow moment or two. You do not need maths, coding or any special knowledge, and watching "The Matrix" first is a bonus, not a must. There are no actors and nothing scary, the room is always lit and you can leave at any time.
The MaTRICK and The Detective & The Time Machine are at the same address, so a group of up to 12 can split into two teams and start both rooms together. 3KEY shifts the start times by 15 minutes so that everyone begins at once, and you compare results at the end, which makes it an easy escape room team building in Sofia. With the BOOM! Room a few minutes down the boulevard, up to 17 can play at the same time.
For one room there is no deposit. When you book two or more rooms, 3KEY asks a €30 deposit per room, which is not returned for a no show or a change or cancellation within 48 hours.

Sofia University metro station is about 10 minutes away, and trams 20 and 22, buses 78 and 79 and several trolleybuses stop on the boulevard, about 3 minutes from the door.
