The Detective & The Time Machine is a Sherlock Holmes escape room in Sofia, run by 3KEY Rooms on Vasil Levski Boulevard, a few minutes from Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. A detective has sworn to guard a dangerous invention, and your team steps into his 19th century study to find the evidence and crack the secret of the time machine in 60 minutes. It takes 2 to 6 players and it is the room 3KEY suggests for beginners, families and couples. A team of two pays €60, and from three players it is €25 per person.

You play the detective. Find the evidence, follow the clues from one hiding place to the next and solve the riddles before the hour runs out.
There are no actors and nothing scary, the room is always lit and you can leave the room at any time. You need sharp eyes, logic and good teamwork, not special knowledge, which makes this detective escape room a good start if it is your first time. It is also a fine pick for a family escape room in Sofia: children from 12 can play on their own team, and from 8 with adults. 3KEY also suggests it for pregnant women, as the game is calm and has no physical tests.

Sofia University metro station is about 10 minutes away, and trams 20 and 22, buses 78 and 79 and several trolleybuses stop on the boulevard, about 3 minutes from the door.
