This kids escape room in Sofia runs at two venues in the city centre, both from the same team, for children aged 9 to 14. On Alabin Street, ages 9 to 13 play Once Upon a Time, where they are wizards out to save the world, or the children's version of The Trap, up to 12 at once. On Hristo Botev Boulevard, ages 9 to 14 play The Masonic Legacy or The Toy Workshop, up to 14 at once. Parents wait outside, and the game is €20 per child at both venues.

The price is the same at both venues. On Alabin Street booking through us is free and you pay at the venue on the day. On Hristo Botev Boulevard you pay a 20% advance by card when you book (€4 per child), and the rest at the venue in cash or by bank transfer.
In Once Upon a Time the children become wizards. An evil wizard called Abraham has stolen the philosopher's stone to rule the world forever and hidden it in a small room behind an ordinary study. He leaves it for just one hour a day, and the team has that hour to find the way in, cast and break spells, travel through time and destroy the stone.
The Trap is the children's version of the classic room. The team wakes up as "hostages" in a room with no doors and no windows, and every solved puzzle brings them closer to the way out. It is a little spooky but made for this age, with no actors jumping out and no blood. Both rooms take 2 to 6 children, so up to 12 can play at once in two teams, and the visit lasts about 1 hour 15 minutes.
The second venue of the same team runs a one hour game for children in The Masonic Legacy or The Toy Workshop. In The Masonic Legacy the team hunts for a fortune that a secret society hid in an old mansion, guarded by riddles meant only for worthy heirs. In The Toy Workshop they find out why the old toy master has started working only at night, and why fewer and fewer children get their toys back.
The two rooms play at the same time, so up to 14 children come in one booking. That makes it a good escape room for 14 year olds in Sofia, once children are past the Alabin Street age range. An operator follows the game from outside and helps if a team gets stuck, and at the end the children get a team photo and a small gift.
You drop the children off and the team takes over. Parents do not go into the rooms, and the children relax more without adults watching. Both venues are in the middle of town with plenty of cafés around, so a coffee or a short walk fits in easily. It is one of the easiest things to do with kids in Sofia, and a good indoor plan for winter.
