COSMOS is a VR escape room in Sofia by Escape Reality, set on the Eden space station next to a portal to another universe. Your team puts on VR headsets, takes over avatars and has one hour to find out what went wrong on the last shift and save the universe. You float in zero gravity, move objects with your hands and solve the puzzles together. The game takes 2 to 6 players at €20 per person and runs in English and 15 other languages. Your minds are connected to avatars on a research base beside a space portal to another universe. Something went wrong on the previous shift, and your team has exactly one hour to work out what happened and put it right. COSMOS is cooperative: nobody finishes it alone, so you talk, share what you see and split the jobs. Players say the best part is floating in zero gravity, and that it feels real enough to forget you are standing in a room in Sofia.
If you have never tried VR, this is an easy start. The operator explains the headset and the controls before you begin, and most teams finish in 45 to 60 minutes. It is a space VR game rather than a room full of padlocks, so it suits people who like sci-fi as much as puzzle fans.
The game is indoors, which makes it one of the easy things to do in Sofia in winter or on a rainy afternoon.
