This is paintball in Sofia in a real forest: a 1.3 hectare field on Vitosha, about 20 minutes from the centre, with half-ruined buildings, boulders and old trees for cover. Games have been run here since 1994. You get a marker, mask, overalls and gloves, a safety briefing, and then you play until your paintballs run out, with no clock ticking. Prices start at €10 per person, gear and 100 paintballs included, and we book it any day of the week for friends, stag dos and company teams.

A forest field, not an arena

The field sits in the forest above Dragalevtsi, on the slopes of Vitosha. It used to be a children's summer camp, and the half-ruined buildings, rocks, moraine boulders and trees are now the cover you fight from. There is a safe zone for breaks and a changing room. Paintball on Vitosha runs all year, and in winter the same games are played in the snow.

Your gear

Every player gets a Tippmann 98 semi-automatic marker (.68 calibre, accurate up to about 50 metres), a full face mask, overalls and gloves with padding. The mask stays on the whole time you are on the field, and the instructors run a safety briefing before the first game.

Paintball near Sofia works well for a stag do: a morning in the forest, then a shooting range or dinner in town. For team building the game types mix people up quickly, and we can add hotel pick-up for the whole group.

FAQ

How much does paintball in Sofia cost?+
Paintball on Vitosha costs €10 per person with 100 paintballs, €15 with 200, or €30 with 500 paintballs and a T-shirt. Every pack includes the marker, mask, overalls and gloves. Extra paintballs are bought at the field.
How do I pay?+
Checking a date is free. Once we confirm, you pay the full price by card through a secure link. Extra paintballs are paid at the field, and hotel pick-up in cash to the driver.
Can I cancel?+
Yes. Cancel at least 48 hours before your game for a full refund. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refunded.
How long does a game last?+
There is no time limit. You play until your paintballs run out, and you can top up at the field. Games start at 09:00, 13:00 or 16:30, and the last slot runs until sunset.
Do I need any experience?+
No. The instructors explain the rules and run a safety briefing before the first game.
Does it hurt?+
A close hit stings a little. The overalls and padded gloves take most of it, and the mask protects your face and eyes.
What should I wear?+
Clothes you do not mind getting dirty and closed shoes. The overalls go on top, and in winter dress warmly underneath.
What if the weather is bad?+
Paintball runs all year, snow included. If the weather makes the game impossible, we move it to a new date or refund you.
Is it good for a stag do in Sofia?+
Yes, paintball is a classic stag do pick. Tell us the group size and we can add a shooting range, dinner or hotel pick-up to the same day.
Can we book paintball team building in Sofia?+
Yes. Send us the number of people and the date, and we arrange the start time and the game types for your team.
Playing with kids?+
There is a smaller-calibre field in the city centre that suits children better. Ask us and we arrange it.
How do I get to the field?+
By car or with our hotel pick-up from €60 per car, return. We send the exact meeting point when we confirm your booking.
Can I give paintball as a gift?+
