Velingrad is not a typical tourist destination. It has no famous monuments or Instagram squares. What it has is something rarer — the highest concentration of natural mineral springs in the entire Balkans. The water here rises from deep in the earth at 37 to 73 degrees Celsius, naturally rich in minerals that have been used for therapeutic purposes for over a century. Maxi Park's spa complex is built around natural mineral water. Five pools — the main indoor mineral pool, a Dead Sea salt pool, a water effects pool, a contrast pool, and an outdoor mineral pool with jacuzzi. The spa zone adds four saunas (Finnish, cedar, salt and herbal), two steam baths, a salt room and a full relaxation suite. This is not a hotel that happens to have a spa. Is this package available on weekdays and weekends?
Yes — the SoFun package applies any day within the valid period (15 May – 31 August 2026), excluding Bulgarian national and public holidays and special hotel packages. Weekdays are quieter and the pools are less busy.
