🌊 What is a Hovercraft?

A hovercraft moves on a cushion of compressed air trapped beneath the hull — hovering just above the surface, touching almost nothing. No wheels, no propeller in the water, no friction to fight against. It slides freely over water, grass, mud and asphalt with equal ease. You steer with thrust and body weight, drifting wide through bends and accelerating across the open lake with nothing beneath you but air and a thin rubber skirt.

This is a solo ride — no instructor on board, no passenger. After a short briefing you take the controls and the craft is yours for the full session. The throttle, the direction, the speed — all your call. Most people find the first 60 seconds deeply disorienting in the best possible way. By the end of 20 minutes they want to go again.

📍 A Lake Near Kremikovtsi

The session takes place at a mountain lake near Kremikovtsi — 30 minutes from Sofia city centre. Quiet, open, and away from traffic. The lake gives you room to build speed and practise the wide drifting arcs the craft is built for. Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet.

Helmet and life jacket are provided and mandatory for every session. A qualified instructor walks you through the controls before you ride — how to accelerate, how to steer, how to stop. No experience or licence required. The craft is designed for beginners. The sensation is not.

Do I need a licence or any experience?
None at all. A full briefing is included before every session. The craft is designed for beginners — the unusual sensation is part of the experience, not a barrier to it.
Will I get wet?
Very likely yes — especially on the water sections. Wear clothes you don't mind getting splashed. The hovercraft skirts the surface at speed, and that's part of the fun.
Can I bring friends to watch?
Yes — spectators are welcome at the lake. If your group all want to ride, book individual sessions for each person. Only one rider per craft at a time.
What if the weather is bad?
The session runs in calm conditions only. If wind or weather makes it unsafe, we offer a full reschedule. We'll always contact you in advance if there's an issue.
