Al Capone's Secret Bar is an escape room in Sofia set in a 1920s speakeasy, run by 3KEY Rooms on Tsar Samuil Street in the city centre. Your team has 70 minutes to beat the mob boss in his own bar: locks, hidden compartments, a roulette table and puzzles that only work when everyone talks. Up to eight players fit in one team, so a whole stag do or birthday group plays together. It costs €60 for two and €25 per person from three, paid in cash at the venue, and booking through us is free.

It is the Prohibition era in America, and Al Capone runs his empire on bootleg liquor, gambling and adult entertainment. You have been let into his secret bar, and you have 70 minutes to show you are as tricky as the mob. It is an escape room, not a real bar, but the set does its best to make you forget that: a long bar counter, a gramophone, red curtains and a roulette table, with clues hidden in all of it.
There are no actors, nothing scary and no tight spaces, and you are never really locked in. The game is built so that fewer than half of teams get out in time, and the game master gives hints when you get stuck. The room was nominated for TERPECA in 2025, for the seventh year, a ranking voted by players who have done more than 200 escape rooms.
With space for eight, this is one of the few escape rooms in Sofia where a whole group plays as one team. It works for a stag do, a hen party, a birthday or colleagues after work. One thing to know: 3KEY does not let in players who are already drunk, so plan the bars for after the game. If the next slot is free, you can rent the room for a while after the game and stay on with cable TV and board games. Ask us and we will check.
Al Capone's Secret Bar is at 50A Tsar Samuil Street, in the centre of Sofia. The entrance is between Atelie Club and The Destiny club, and the room is on the 4th floor, up the stairs. Serdika metro station (line 1) is about 6 minutes on foot, and trams stop at the Palace of Justice and Makedonia Square. If you come by car, central Sofia is in the paid Blue Zone.
