The Belogradchik Rocks have been a protected natural landmark since 1949. The formation stretches over 30 kilometres and rises up to 200 metres in places — carved over 200 million years by wind, rain, and time into shapes that resemble mythical creatures, animals, fortress walls, and towers. From the ground, walking among them, the scale is impressive. From a gyrocopter at altitude, the full extent of the formation becomes visible for the first time: the way it runs across the landscape, the density of the formations, the colours in the rock. It is a completely different experience from anything accessible on foot.
